Even if I don't really like it, I am usually accepting from the start and just pay attention to the other parts of the book. But sometimes I have real life issues that make me avoid romances like the plague, so then it gets tricky because so many books have them. But then I can usually turn to a good dystopian, because if there is a romance in those, it will most likely not be very important.Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10305003941848777099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158143373242218557.post-49231622811501877832015-09-30T15:05:28.773-04:002015-09-30T15:05:28.773-04:00I... I mean, sometimes I read romance novels when I am in the mood for that, but I don't NEED A BLOODY ROMANCE TO BE THERE IN EVERY FREAKING BLOODY BOOK THAT I READ...

On second thought, yep, I am a romancephobic person. I love when a romance is well done and original and adds to the story and doesn't necessarily take over the plot (dear lord I ship all the ships in SoC and they're mostly hinted at for most of the book, so there you go!), but having a romance there because it feels like part of checking a list? HELL NO!Pilihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05235628363081574896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158143373242218557.post-39941779988420632852015-09-26T18:15:28.504-04:002015-09-26T18:15:28.504-04:00Lol, I love this. A lot of them just seem ridiculous and unnecessary.

Aj @ Read All The Things!Aj @ Read All The Things!https://www.blogger.com/profile/02860483414620371093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158143373242218557.post-7459635084924515322015-09-26T00:04:43.967-04:002015-09-26T00:04:43.967-04:00Nice use of the Clueless gifs. Any post with Clue...Nice use of the Clueless gifs. Any post with Clueless in I will obviously like. haha. I don't like romance that often either especially in books where the world is ending and stuff. And Instalove I just can't deal. I often find myself at the wrong end of the love-triangle and I also think it is because I KNOW it's the wrong end. So basically I am just wishing for the ship that is happening to not happen. Glad to know I'm not the only one!!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02288722022982656753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8158143373242218557.post-91364679630504886722015-09-25T16:06:16.854-04:002015-09-25T16:06:16.854-04:00This made me laugh SO much. I'm with you. I ...This made me laugh SO much. I'm with you. I don't mind romance, but I don't like when it's the only plot in the book (or when the pairing is super obvious from up front) and I don't like most portrayals of it in YA because they tend to be insta-love-y or forever-and-ever-y. Like, does anyone date around anymore?

I was so excited in a book recently (maybe Dumplin'?) when the MC said, "I might actually love this guy," after having known him for like a week, then added, "I mean, not actual love, but I do really like him." THANK YOU, SOMEONE WITH SENSE.

C.J.
Sarcasm & Lemons C.J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03239098373565351135noreply@blogger.com
