Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I Would Like to Meet

A weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

I really didn't think that I had met very many authors but when I thought about the authors that I want to meet, I realized I have actually been able to meet most of them. I have been able to go to a conference a year for the past five years and that really helps. But there are still a few authors I have not read.

1.) Victoria Schwab
I will actually be able to check Victoria off this list tomorrow. I am so excited to meet her in Boston. She is one of my auto-buy authors because I love her books so much.

2.) Brandon Sanderson
Brandon is one of the few authors on my author bucket list that I have not yet met and am dying to read. He just never seems to come anywhere near me. Maybe for Skyward.

3.) Gail Carriger
Gail is another one that I don’t think will ever come near me. She does the con circuit so maybe but I have read most of her books and I would love to meet her.

4.) J.K. Rowling
I know for a lot of people Rowling is problematic and also doesn’t really your anymore but if you grew up with Harry Potter then you would lose your shit to meet her.

5.) Sarah J. Maas
Yeah, Sarah is not everyone’s favorite either but I love the Throne of Glass series and I would really love to meet her.

6.) Ally Carter
I’ve loved every single one of Ally’s books which I have read and I would love to meet her and get my books signed.

7.) Morgan Matson
The embarrassing thing is that Morgan actually came to Boston and I was planning on going to meet her but then I completely forgot about the signing on the day of.

8.) Roshani Chokshi
I’m really hoping Roshani goes on tour for Gilded Wolves and ends up in Boston. I loved the Star-Touched Queen series and she just seems like such a delight.

9.) Meagan Spooner
The funny thing about this is that I have met Amie Kaufman, the one of the two who doesn’t even live in the US. But now I need Meghan to sign my books to match.

10.) Ryan Graudin
I have loved every one of Ryan’s books I have read, especially the Wolf by Wolf series. I’d love to meet Ryan.

11.) Mindy McGinnis
I haven’t read all of Mindy’s books even though I own copies of some of the ones that I haven’t read but her books ate so weird and messed up I feel like her talks would be so interesting.

12.) Patrick Rothfuss
Patrick is another one who I am sure would have a totally interesting book talk. He’s such a cool and engaging dude. Also, his books are great.

There you have it, all the authors who are on my want to meet list. What authors have made your list? What authors have you met? Leave me a comment with your thoughts. Thanks for stopping ny and HAPPY READING!

  1. I've met Cassandra Clare, Holly Black and Lauren Kate once + one of my favorite Flemish authors who absolutely went out of his way to sign my book of his. But I'd really love to meet Eoin Colfer. It would mean so much to me. I can only hope.

  2. Ooh nice picks!! I met Victoria and Gail once myself but since it was a big author event, it was kind of hard to hear them talk and whatnot! But maybe another day I'll meet them at a more intimate signing! Hope you get to meet these authors one day soon!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!
