Top Ten Tuesday: Authors You Should Follow On Twitter

A weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

(As images I'm using their Twitter avatars so you recognize them but sometimes it can be confusing)

1.) Victoria (V.E.) Schwab
Twitter: @veschwab
I love Victoria as an author and I have been following for much longer than I have read her books. But now that I have read her books I love following her even more. She loves to share fanart, excerpts, and writing tips.

2.) Mackenzi Lee
Twitter: @themackenzilee
All I have to say is #BygoneBadassBroads which is the hashtag for what is know as Badass Ladies from History that You Should Know. But in general Mackenzi is amazing.

3.) Rainbow Rowell
Twitter: @rainbowrowell
Rainbow in general is just as funny, sweet, and quirky as her books so if you like them you should obviously follow her on Twitter. I also like how she unabashedly fangirls. It's really great.

4.) Maggie Stiefvater
Twitter: @msteifvater
I followed Maggie on Twitter before reading her books. I met Maggie in person before reading her books. But she is hilarious and brilliant and you should follow her. Her Tumblr is also great and she answers amazing fan questions which is great.

5.) Susan Dennard
Twitter: @stdennard
I'm a huge fan of Susan's books and I love the way that she interacts with readers and fans. She's always retweeting and responding to them like a lot of these authors. Plus her newsletter is amazing with great things for readers and writers.

6.) Libba Bray
Twitter: @libbabray
I love Libba so much, Her books are great and her humor is great so it's no surprise that she is a ton of fun on twitter. Plus every once in awhile she has an #AskLibba thing where she answers questions in her trademark irreverent tone and it's great.

7.) Leigh Bardugo
Twitter: @LBardugo
I mean basically this is just a list of authors whose books I love when interact well with fans on Twitter but I don't care. Leigh is another great one who is constantly retweeting fan art and stuff like that. Plus her Instagram is amazing and usually full of beautiful pictures.

8.) Alexandra Bracken
Twitter: @alexbracken
I love Alex's books and think she is sweet and interesting and funny but let's be honest, I follow her for pictures of her dog. Tenny is the cutest. Plus right now she is in Italy and all her updates are making me jealous. I realized it's been 10 years since I went there to study abroad and I want to go back.

9.) Evelyn Skye
Twitter: @EvelynSkyeYA
Evelyn's book isn't even out yet and I haven't read it but if her Twitter is any indication (and I think I've proven that it is) then I'm sure I will love it. She's great in how she interacts with fans. Especially on her website which has a great newsletter and is really involving readers before her book comes out.

10.) J.K. Rowling
Twitter: @jk_rowling
She is queen and says great things on Twitter. No one is surprised, right? I mean I could give you a reason to follow her but I'm guessing you all already do so why waste your time.

Those are the ten authors I recommend following on Twitter. Do you follow any of these? Do you have any recommendations? I love following new authors on Twitter even if I haven't read their books. If they're fun, interesting, and have cool things to say, I'll follow them.

Leave me a comment with your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY READING!
