Top Ten Tuesday - Characters I Want to Check in With

A weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

1.) Eleanor and Park from Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell - Add to Goodreads
You may be aware that there is a check-in for RR characters in Landline, but it is not with Eleanor and/or Park. I need to know what happens to these two. I need a HEA!

2.) Diana Holland from The Luxe series  by Anna Godbersen - Add to Goodreads
Diana is one of the reasons I loved this series so much, especially they way her story ended. I thought it was going to end one way but I was happy it didn't. Now I need to know where that all led her.

3.) Lyra Belacqua in the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman - Add to Goodreads
And yes, Will too but mostly Lyra. I wonder what sort of adult she has become. I felt like this series was quite complicated for MG so an adult book version would make me so very happy!

4.) Nikolai in The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo - Add to Goodreads
Sure, I want to know about Alina but I'm more concerned about Nikolai. I'm seriously hoping that we get some info about him in Six of Crows. Even just mention of him and how things are going in Ravka will do.

5.) All the characters in The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken - Add to Goodreads
While I liked In the Afterlight, I felt like the ending and resolution was a little rushed. I'd love to check in with Ruby, Liam, Chubs, Vida, and Zu to see what life is like for them now.

6.) The Next Generation from Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling- Add to Goodreads
Sure, I want to check in with the Golden Trio too but mostly the Next Gen. My favorite HP fanfiction is set during this era. I'd love some Albus Severus Potter, Rose Weasley, and Scorpius Malfoy canon

7.) Buttercup and Wesley from The Princess Bride by William Golding - Add to Goodreads
I must see their happily ever after, I must. Secretly I hope it's just as dramatic just because that would be entertaining, but I just want to see how they are together now.

8.) Eli Ever in Vicious by V.E. Schwab - Add to Goodreads
Eli is such a fascinating character. After the way things ended in Vicious I wonder where things will lead him. Will he settle down a nice relaxing future or continue the scientific pursuit?

9.) Marianne Dashwood and Colonel Brandon from Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen - Add to Goodreads
I feel like there is so much attachment to Pride & Prejudice that there have been speculated sequels but I can't really think of one for S&S, which is my favorite Austen to date.

10.) Taylor Renee Crystal Hawkins from Beauty Queens - Add to Goodreads
This book had some seriously fantastic characters that were so complex and hilarious. None more so than Miss Texas, plus the way her story ended was seriously the most fascinating.

And an Honorable Mention to a Book We Are Getting a Sequel To:

11.) Wade Watts in Ready Player One by Ernest Cline - Add to Goodreads
I am so excited for a sequel! Not only is this an absolutely fantastic book but I cannot wait for more of Wade and Art3mis. *flails so hard*

What about you? What characters would you like to check in with? Are there any of mine on your list? Leave me a comment with your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY READING!

  5. Nice picks! I too had Lyra on my list. We leave her on the precipice of an important time for rebuilding the world. I bet she'd be an awesome adult. You've also reminded me that I need to read Alexandra Bracken.

  7. Nice! Seeing a bit of Nickolai! I binged that series so I can only vaguely recall him, but I do remember liking him too! My brain is so weird! Yes Harry Potter! Seeing that everywhere today! LOL!

And ooohh Princess Bride! There supposedly was a sequel once. I think it's even in that edition, because that's the one I have too. It didn't go further than like 5 pages, and naturally it was quite cliffhangery! My poor mistreated mind and heart have been abused many a time by cliffhangers and unfinished series. Not sure how much more I can take! :(

And ohhhh, nice new look of your blog!! It's so fresh and light! I like it!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  10. Great picks Cassi! I would love to check in on the characters from Vicious. I just read it a couple of weeks ago and loved the story. And I totally agree with the Harry Potter Next Generation! Nikolai is on my list too. And sadly I haven't read any of the other books yet, but I am looking forward to them. :D

  11. YES, more HP. Not fan fiction, but the real thing. Do you think Rowling will ever write a spin-off series? I hope so.

    Happy TTT!
