Top Ten Tuesday: Finished Series I Haven't Finished

A weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

So this prompt is actually kind of hard for me. I'm a series marathoner. I usually try to read at least a few books of a series at a time. Plus to be honest, before I started blogging I didn't often read a lot of series. Now most of the series I learn about are all relatively new. So either I haven't read any books or the unfinished series on my list are indeed unfinished. But I did manage to come up with a few.

1.) Taken Trilogy by Erin Bowman - My Review
So I marathoned the first two books in this series last April when Frozen came out and I didn't like the character at all. Now that the final book is out I really don't have a lot of interest in reading it.

2.) All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness - My Review
See above. Except in this case I only read the first book and I didn't like much of anything about it. I had high expectations but it wasn't the book for me so I won't be finishing it.

3.) Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter - Add to Goodreads
I actually did really like this series. I read book one when it first came out and never continued it for some reason. Right before the last book came out I read the second one but I'm so lazy about the rest.

4.) Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl - Add to Goodreads
Another first book I read that I didn't really like. I actually had every intention of finishing this series despite not enjoying the ending of the first book but after seeing not great review and my interest fading I don't think I will.

5.) Anna and the French Kiss series by Stephanie Perkins - My Review
I'm not a big fan of Contemporary Romances but everyone raves about this book. So I tried it and it was pretty good. But that being said I don't have a lot of interest in the next two.

6.) A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket - Add to Goodreads
I read the first three books ages ago when I was working for Americorps at a middle school. I liked them but the series was still ongoing at the time and I just never really continued one. Now it's done and I don't have a lot of interest in finishing.

7.) The Giver Quarter by Lois Lowry - Add to Goodreads
I love Lois Lowry. She's one of my all-time favorite children's/MG authors. I love The Giver and I have never read the rest of the series. I'm sort getting burned out from dystopia so I'm not sure I'll finish it but maybe.

8.) A Wrinkle in Time series by Madeline L'Engle - Add to Goodreads
I read A Wrinkle on Time as an adult. I thought it was a fun and interesting fantasy series. I honestly didn't even know there were more books in the series until I read the first one and I just had little interest in reading them.

What books are on your list? Have you read any of these? Most of them will probably remain unfinished for me. Are there any you think I should read? Leave me a comment with your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY READING!

  1. Lemony Snicket's ending was a bit odd, but I don't think you miss much

  2. All Souls is on my TTT list too. I didn't remember A Series of Unfortunate Events - that's another one I haven't finished.

  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't love Anna and the French Kiss. I feel like that everyone's favorite book. I may give Lola a chance since it's about different characters. We'll see.

  5. Awww Lola was really cute... but I get why you might not be into that type of book. I would really like to read The Gallagher Girl series one of these days. I don't know why I never read them, I guess they just got lost in the pile :(

  6. I haven't read any of these series! I think I started to read 1 or 2, but ended up DNFing in book 1, so I guess they don't really count anymore!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. I really want to finish A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Giver at some point too... Taken was on my TBR list but I'm not sold on it. Maybe I won't read it after all...

    Here are my Top Ten!

  8. You are not missing anything by not finishing the Taken series. I was not a fan, but I still forced myself to finish it.
