Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR

A weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Rest of March Reads

1.) The Skylighter by Becky Wallace - Add to Goodreads
I absolutely loved The Storyspinner and I cannot wait for the sequel to this amazing high fantasy duology. I have an ARC that I have been putting off but seeing as it comes out next week, I can finally start it.

2.) The Winner's Kiss by Marie Rutkowski - Add to Goodreads
I'm so excited to have my life ruined by the final book in the Winner's Trilogy. I need to know what happens to Kestrel and Arin especially the way that the last book ended. I just started my reread of The Winner's Crime to prepare.

April: ARC April

3.) The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas - Add to Goodreads
I've talked about this book a few times but I love a good YA mystery and I've heard this one is great. Plus it takes place in the part of Pennsylvania where I live!

4.) The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Choskshi - Add to Goodreads
Oh man, I can't wait for this book. It sounds amazing. I received a review copy from St. Martins and I lost the ability to even so I'm really excited to read it very shortly

5.) The Raven King by Maggie Steivater - Add to Goodreads
Speaking of last books in a series that will ruin me. I know you are going to destroy my feels Maggie. But like maybe my ships will sail. *readies the tissues*

6.) Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley - Add to Goodreads
I have been wanting to read this for so long and despite having a copy I haven't sat down to read it. But I'm doing ARC April so I am making it happen finally.

May: High Fantasy

7.) The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh - Add to Goodreads
Did you hear this is coming out a two weeks earlier? It's now coming out April 26th with all the amazing books. I loved The Wrath and the Dawn so I'm excited for the sequel.

8.) The Crown's Game by Evelyn Skye - Add to Goodreads
This is one of my most anticipated debuts so I'm excited for it. High fantasy with elemental magic in Tsarist Russia. Did you see the book trailer? It's amazing!

9.) The Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce - Add to Goodreads
Nobody freak out. Yes, I am reading The Song of the Lioness Quartet for the first time. I SAID DON'T FREAK OUT! I know everyone loves this so I'm reading it.

10.) The Sleeping Prince by Melinda Salisbury - Add to Goodreads
I obviously need this book after the way The Sin Eater's Daughter ended, which I loved BTW. I can't wait to catch back up with this series and see if my theories are right.

Honorable Mention: June Reads

11.) The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May - Add to Goodreads
See above! I know I've talked about this before because seriously this ending was so mean! I need to know what happens next! So stressful!

12.) The Leaving by Tara Atlebrandoo - Add to Goodreads
I'm also super excited about this mystery/thriller. It sounds really interesting. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love a good YA mystery.

There you have it, some of the books that I plan to read over the next three months give or take. You also have some sneak peaks at my planned themes for the next few months, They're not super exciting themes but you can't win them all. What are you planning to read? Leave me a comment with your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY READING!

  1. I'm also DEFINITELY reading The Leaving. And WOOO The Raven King!! It's SO close to being here!!!!!!! I hope you like The Darkest Corners. It was cool to read about Western PA in a book. And the mystery was very twisty (just a TAD dramatic at times).

  2. I've seen The Raven King on a few TTT's, I still need to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue first, but might sneak it in before the last book comes out. My TTT

  9. I'll pile on the Song of the Lioness love here: that series was the one that got me into YA fantasy. Before that I was a realistic-fiction-only kind of reader, and Tamora Pierce changed all that. Highly recommend! (Although it's good to keep in mind that this series was written long before elements that we now think of as cliche for a YA fantasy were cliche.)

  10. I'm freaking out in a GOOD way about Tamora because I'm so excited that you're reading her! Alana's books are so wonderful and fundamental to high fantasy. You can see where Sarah Maas got it.

Also I can't believe I forgot Winner's Kiss! That's CLEARLY high on my list.
