Feature and Follow Fridat #12

A weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read & Parajunkee's View

How it Works:
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to Wordpress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don't have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

This Week's Question:

If you read a book for the "first time" again, which book would it be? Why?

This Week's Answer:

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

This is mainly because all my brain can think about right now is A Song of Ice and Fire with all my excitement for season 4 of the TV show (RED VIPER!!!!). Seriously all day yesterday I watched speculation videos about where they might take the show based on the books and interviews with the cast (I love Sophie Turner almost as much as I love Sansa, which is a lot).

But I am also saying A Game of Thrones because I didn't read the books until after I saw the first three seasons of the show so I wasn't as surprised and affected by a lot of the twists and shocking moments as I was for the later books. I wish I could go back and experience the books from the beginning without any previous knowledge of the story just so I can react to it more. I'm kind of interested to see how I feel about the show after reading the books!

What book do you want to read for the "first time" again? Leave me a comment. And this is a blog hop so take a look around and if you like what you see feel free to follow. I'm flexible about the way you follow so pick your poison: GFC, Bloglovin, or Twitter!

  3. Great choice. I've not read the book yet but I love the TV show. And it was such a bad choice to watch GOT first before reading the book because now I know everything so no more surprise if I read the book =(

  5. Oh nice! Haven't read these or seen the show. We don't get premium channels, so I'm always a season behind in True Blood as well! Still gotta watch season 5 though...

    But still great pick!

  8. I am so glad that I read the first three books before the show started. I read the fourth one after the end of last season and I have a feeling I'll read the fifth after the end of season 4. I have to space myself on his books because so much happens!

  12. Great choice. I was spoiled for the first season of GoT, and I was so surprised with the character deaths. I decided I needed to read the books right then and there. I am finally on book 5. :)
